The driver of the Down 'Devon Scot' has what would now be seen as a socially distanced chat (or bellow) with someone on the platform, just prior to shutting the door on him. In 1997 HSTs were already 20 years old; who would have thought that a generation after that they would still be pulling out of Platform 19?
