Newton-le-Willows Junction
A view towards Newton-le-Willows Junction (by the M6 bridge), from about half way along the curve from Lowton Junction, on 8th February 2021. The less than shiny rails confirm this curve sees only limited trains, although a single Glasgow to Liverpool TPE EMU runs this way in the 2020 timetable, rather than through St. Helens, and the Seaforth - Mossend container trains also take this route.
