Site of level crossing, Crossbarry, looking west towards Upton. While trying to find the site of Crossbarry station, I found a short stretch of walkable trackbed about half a mile west of the station site. This would have been a much more convenient location for the station, being close to the village centre but of course the station was designed as a junction for the Kinsale branch. The hump in the road clearly indicates the site of the crossing and beyond the trackbed is occupied by a house and garden.
