UK Railtours' excursion from King's Cross passing the site of Choppington station on the freight-only line from Morpeth to Bedlington in Northumberland, on 7th April 2018. This line and demolished station closed to passengers on 3rd April 1950. Although reopening of the Ashington line, including Bedlington station, is now set to go ahead, the line through Choppington is not currently being considered for reopening to passengers.
