Looking over the meagre remains of Dumfries south sidings from Annan Road bridge in May 2003 as a ScotRail DMU heads off in the in the general direction of Carlisle. The old goods depot off to the right is now occupied by retail outlets and associated car parking, with the area shown here now used for PW access and storage. Meantime a wall has appeared on the left in connection with a car dealership. The area beyond the wall was once occupied by the coaling stage of Dumfries shed.
