Two railway buildings still stand at the site of Castle Douglas station in 2021. One is the stone built goods shed, in use as a hardware store (see image 34786), the other is this heavily disguised British Railways standard prefabricated concrete Provender Shed in use as a fast food establishment. These buildings were once common in goods yards around the country. To see what they look like in their normal guise see photos of Newpark, 57747, Masham 47340 and Sedbergh 49371.
