Askam Pier
Askam Pier, May 2021, and the indentations of sleepered track can still be seen in the tipped slag some ninety years after the nearby Askam Iron Works closed. The fierce tides in the Duddon Estuary have not made much impact on the huge pier structure in the intervening years.
