Crow Nest Junction
A pair of Sprinters, working from Kirby to Manchester Victoria, approach Crow Nest Junction soon after departing Hindley, whose platforms can be seen in the distance. The trees here create an impression of a long cutting but in fact this is a high embankment, which used to support four tracks, crossing the Borsdane Brook on a substantial bridge 76603. 27th April 2021.
