Cathcart West Junction

This impregnable-looking building is situated in front of the Junction and you can see where a second bridge once carried more tracks right behind it. It's a pub called 'Beechings'. This is an odd choice of name for a location where Beeching had no influence; the short L&A stretch was rationalised away before the axe without loss of a station.
