Cathcart

This fine (though headless) survivor, made by Hills Brothers of the Sun Foundry in Alloa, is mounted on top of a wall on the corner of the street and subway entrance to Cathcart station. It probably dates from the opening of the station in 1894 and I can see it was never converted to electricity. I'd love to get at it with some Hammerite; dark green perhaps?
