The track from the dock can be seen curving to where it once joined the others and crossed Commercial Street - where that office now stands - and on to the Leith North branch. During WWII the open crossing was mercifully exempted from blackout regulations, only for a stushie to erupt over who would pay the electric bill for the lighting…
