West Calder Branch Junction

Trackbed of the former Seafield Oil Works branch, which left the Edinburgh & Bathgate route behind the camera at West Calder Branch Junction. View is south from the A7066 road bridge in August 2008. The old trackbed is today crossed by the M8 Motorway just beyond the trees. Drivers on the M8 will recognise the grassy pyramids on the left, which now form part of a land sculpture alongside the motorway.
