Newtongrange
Preparation of the site for the new station and car park at Newtongrange, showing work in progress in July 2014. This included the demolition and clearance of several buildings formerly used by the previous occupiers of the site, the long defunct Dean Oil Works. The old office building (just off picture to the left) was spared and subsequently refurbished. This is now a cafe and community hub known as The Sidings (see image 65898).
