Tayinloan Pier
'MV Loch Ranza', the regular vessel on the Gigha Ferry for many years, approaches the slipway at Tayinloan on 19th September 2021. There is an hourly service for most of the day with a twenty minute crossing to the island, which can be seen behind the ferry with Islay beyond in the background. The pier was extended out to deeper water recently to overcome problems with the old slip silting up and preventing the ferry docking.
