Hoscar Watertroughs
A Northern 769 Flex unit, from Southport to Alderley Edge, is running east between Burscough Bridge and Hoscar on 24th August 2021. Just ahead of the train is Shaw's Crossing, still with gates operated by users, and a large crossing keeper's house alongside, which is in a similar style to surviving railway station buildings on this line. Another crossing immediately beyond Shaw's, now with automatic barriers, has a similar house alongside. Hoscar water troughs were sited that crossing and the station.
