View in 1966 from the northbound 'Metropolitano' express from Milan to Frankfurt, on the descent from the Gotthard tunnel. The train was crossing the spectacular Intschi-Reuss viaduct, which at 77 metres above the Reuss river made it the highest on the Swiss Federal network. Coming up the ramp with a southbound freight was 'Kanton Lok' Ae 6/6 11405 Nidwalden, identifiable as a Canton locomotive by virtue of the stylish chrome stripes below the cab. The train engine of the Metropolitano, which can be glimpsed at the far end of the viaduct, was Ae 6/6 11445 'Frauenfeld'.
