Savenay
Old and new SNCF motive power sharing the stage on a summer evening in 1969 at Savenay, west of Nantes. On the left is an express from Paris to Le Croisic, headed by the doyen of the recently introduced CC72000 express passenger diesels, number 72001. On the right is the connecting local service to St Nazaire, with ex-Etat 2-8-2 141C82, dating from the early nineteen twenties.
