Silloth
A view of Silloth station and yard in 2021, fifty seven years after closure. A rugby pitch now dominates the foreground but there were once extensive sidings all round the port. The station building was sited where the modern terrace of houses now sits but the long passenger platform reached all the way to the B5300 bridge from which this photo was taken. See image 9324 from a similar vantage point in 1951.
