Borough
Temporary Northern Line closure. Southbound platform at Borough, Northern Line Bank branch, looking south on 14th January 2022. This station, and the Bank branch between Moorgate and Kennington, was temporarily closed the following day until May 2022 to allow extensive reconstruction work at Bank station. That should be ample time to give Borough, that opened with the first section of the City & South London Railway from King William Street (replaced by Bank in 1900) and Stockwell on 18th December 1890, some much needed cosmetic surgery too.
