Whilst some 90% of the former Forge Valley line between Pickering and Seamer has been obliterated there is a substantial length of embankment still extant alongside the south side of A170 road a short distance east of Wykeham station. See image 79783. It is immediately beyond where a bridge previously crossed the road heading east. Mid way along the embankment is an accommodation bridge, as seen, which is in remarkably good condition considering how long the line has been closed.
