Bury Bolton Street

This model of Bury Bolton Street is displayed in the Transport Museum, which is in the old Castlecroft Goods Shed. The grand station entrance with its clock tower was destroyed by fire in 1947 and replaced by the current flat roofed brick structure. Just behind is the old East Lancashire Railway headquarters. This building lasted until demolition in 1974, six years before BR closed the station.
