A proposed station for Glasgow Airport. [Over the years there has been a considerable number of proposals to serve the airport including; a branch from Arkleston Junction (east of Paisley Gilmour Street) using the route of the former Renfrew branch with a bridge over the Cart to reach the airport from the east; a people mover at street level from the airport south to Paisley Gilmour Street; a branch from Paisley St James (for which land was purchased); several variations on the terminus of a light railway largely following the south bank of the Clyde via the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (Southern General), Braehead and Renfrew; a through station on the 'Clyde Metro' with a line from the north bank crossing the Clyde to serve Braehead, Renfrew, the airport and Paisley. -RS]
