View from the summer Saturday 6.35 am Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow near Mennock, south of Sanquhar. Holbeck Jubilee 45697 'Achilles' was showing a clean pair of heels to the cars on the A76. That unfortunately wouldn't have lasted long, as the G & SW line was busy with returning 'Glasgow Fair' extras, and journey north was beset by regular signal checks.
