Lower Ince
Just down the hill from the operational Ince station is the site of Lower Ince. This was on the GCR Wigan Central line and closed in 1964. The two platform station was in a cutting and this has been partly filled and turned into amenity land. The only remnant of Lower Ince station in 2022 is this short section of stone wall and two brick pillars.
