LUL 1996 stock on a Jubilee Line train to Stanmore arriving at its penultimate stop at Canons Park on 14th September 2013. This was originally a Metropolitan Railway branch from the main line at Wembley Park, belatedly opened in 1932. Canons Park opened with the line and was known as Canons Park (Edgware) but the suffix was dropped in 1934. In 1939, the Wembley Park to Stanmore branch became part of the Bakerloo Line but was subsequently transferred to the Jubilee Line forty years later in 1979.
