Dalmuir Swing Bridge
The Cumbrae ferry 'Ashton' on the Forth & Clyde canal at Dalmuir, in October 1962. This remarkable charter was organised by the Glasgow University Railway Society. I believe it was the last occasion on which a passenger vessel sailed on the canal before its closure at the end of 1962, although the canal of course eventually reopened in 2001.
