Carnforth
Although a public footpath runs round the back of Carnforth shed and yard, and there is always a wealth of classic traction present, the views are limited to say the least. This image, on 21st March 2022, is about as good as it gets but does show a number of the West Coast fleet present that day. On the far side of the yard is 37706 and 33029. Coming towards the camera is a WC Brush 4 and then 57008 and 57009. These two 57s were bought from DRS and tripped to Carnforth from Longtown the previous week, along with 57010, 011 and 012. Their livery is presently DRS but with the logos blacked out and it is not clear yet what the plans are for the new arrivals. Continuing forward we see 57601 in Pullman livery, another 37 receiving attention and 57010 in the immediate foreground. Just off to the right was 86401.
