York Road
New Routemaster LT 750, decorated for an advertiser, heading north up York Way (the former name of York Road and before that Maiden Lane) on route 390 to Archway with, in the background, the entrance to the former York Road station, LU Piccadilly Line, that will have been closed for 90 years on 19th September 2022. York Road Station and Entrance and Exit signs are still in evidence on this Leslie W. Green designed station that opened with the Great Northern, Piccadilly & Brompton Railway on 15th December 1906. This view is through the front upstairs windows of a New Routemaster bus that I was on, also on route 390 to Victoria, heading south down York Way just north of King's Cross, on the afternoon of 13th April 2022.
