This bridge carries the foot and cycle path between Church and Accrington stations and also the operational line (behind the trees). This May 2022 view looks east and Accrington West Junction was immediately beyond the bridge parapets. This was the point where the chord to Accrington South and the Bury line diverged but all trace of railway infrastructure away from the surviving line has gone. See image 54930.
