Carlisle
There was a lot of WCML disruption on 2nd July 2022. Many Avanti and TPE trains were either cancelled altogether or for part of the journey. The reason invariably seemed to be 'shortage of traincrew'. 802216 had worked north from Manchester Airport but instead of going through to Edinburgh laid over on a centre road in Carlisle until it could pick up its diagram again. 397008 also arrived from the north and stayed on a station through road rather than going through to Manchester.
