Princes Street Gardens Cutting

An English Electric Type 4 heads through Princes Street Gardens with the down 'North Briton' in 1962. An eastbound Metro-Cammell DMU appears to be causing some pollution in the distance but, as there was still some steam around Edinburgh at the time, one supposes that coal smoke from the Haymarket tunnel may have been the main contributory factor.
