Ware
The Hertford East branch from the Cambridge main line north of Broxbourne is, nominally, a double track line but site difficulties mean that the delightful intermediate station at Ware has only ever had a single bi-directional platform. The line and station were opened by the Northern & Eastern Railway Company in 1843 and this view is from 317 508 at head and 317 343 at rear making their first stop with the ex-11.09 service from Hertford East to Liverpool Street on a stultifyingly hot Saturday, 16th July 2022, the Last Day of class 317 units in service.
