Bowland

The ScotRail 1205 ex Tweedbank photographed at speed some three and a half miles north of Galashiels in the summer of 2015 (one of the services operating non-stop between Galashiels and Gorebridge). The DMU is currently running through the site of Bowland station (closed 1953) and is about to cross the bridge over the B710. This was one of several new bridges required during construction of the line, replacing the former Waverley Route bridge no 80 during 2014. (See image 36188).
