Paddington

My first glimpse of an HST power car in the new 'Swallow' livery about to leave Paddington for Bristol TM in September 1987. The swallow emblem had replaced the old BR double arrow symbol, while the previous yellow lower section had been changed to white with a red stripe (as already used on the coaches). The original 'InterCity 125' branding had now become the more urgent 'INTERCITY'. Just a pity I had B&W film in my camera at the time, although David Pesterfield did manage to capture a colour version at Crigglestone Junction during that same month - see image 25033.
