In this 1988 view, the Forth and Clyde Canal Society's DSMV 'Ferry Queen' was moored alongside the former Glasgow Lead and Color Works on the Glasgow branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Progress through to Port Dundas was blocked at the time by the culverted Ruchill Street bridge. This vessel, formerly 'Ferry No 8 [II]', was built for the Clyde Navigation Trust and spent its career as a cross river ferry on the Govan and Kelvinhaugh crossings. It is now moored in the River Kelvin by the Riverside Museum.
