A 1993 view of the Union Inn seen over the Forth and Clyde Canal. This was the junction with the Union Canal (on the left) and Port Downie Basin, alongside the inn, was at the bottom of a flight of locks. The basin and locks are infilled, the link between the canals having been replaced by a new portion of canal and the Falkirk Wheel further west.
