Paddington
A British Rail Inter-City 125 HST seen shortly after leaving Paddington in February 1982 with a service to Bristol Temple Meads. The train is passing the single platform of Paddington Parcels Depot, located between Westbourne and Ranelagh bridges. The scene is dominated by HSTs, with the exception of the London Underground C stock just visible in the background to the right of the bridge pier. This is a Hammersmith & City line train, about to depart for its next stop at Royal Oak, from where the photograph was taken.
