Bingley Five Rise Locks

One of the wonders of our canal system. These are Bingley Five Rise Locks, a staircase whereby the bottom gates of one lock are the top gates of the next, with no 'pound' in between. The five locks raise boats by 55' and are still fully operational ahead of celebrating their 250th anniversary in 2024. Hopefully the Canal and River Trust will be round with some white paint before then as the gates are looking a little shabby compared to how I remember them.
