Ince

One could be forgiven for thinking this bridge, alongside Ince railway station, carried Green Lane over sidings or a branch line but in fact it was a short canal, from the Leeds and Liverpool, to a basin at Ince Hall. This served an iron works and other local industry but had closed before WWI and this is the only visible remnant.
