Garsdale

30 April 1983 and West Country Pacific 34092 'City of Wells' has arrived at Garsdale after an exhilarating climb of the 'Long Drag' from Settle Junction with the Cumbrian Mountain Pullman. Its nickname of 'The Volcano' was well earned, with a vast trail of smoke and steam left in its wake during the ascent! Different rules about passengers leaving the platform in those days.
