Preston South Junction
Always impressive to see the Lindsey bitumen tanks climbing the 1:29 gradient from the docks and emerging alongside Preston station. On 1st December 2022 70813 was in charge of the service and followed a Colne bound stopping service onto the East Lancashire line. The Class 156 behind is stabled in the old parcels sidings. Motive power for these trains has varied down the years with Classes 37, 56, 60 and 66 34939 but the Colas 70s hold sway presently.
