The 'Kyles' afloat at Irvine in 2017, although she is now ashore for remedial work. She is described by the Maritime Museum as the oldest Clydebuilt vessel afloat. I have repeatedly pointed out that she was built in Paisley at J. Fullerton & Co's Merksworth Yard, and that is nowhere near the Clyde but on the River White Cart. The message never gets through. Built as a steamer in 1872 and then operated as a motor vessel from 1945.
