Newcastle East Junction
Substantial remodelling of the track layout at Newcastle East Junction has taken place as the number of bay platforms at the north end of Central Station has reduced to one. Although not quite as striking as the layout shown in image 21815 the series of three double slips is still quite impressive in its appearance and functionality. See also image 82805.
