Radcliffe West Junction

Bridge 17F on the disused Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal carried the Radcliffe West to Radcliffe North Junction curve until 1964. The pink footbridge is 17E and beyond that Bridge 17D, also now removed, carried the Bradley Fold to Radcliffe Central line, also closed in 1964. The two lines met at West Junction, just off to the right of the picture. '17F' indicates that at least six bridges between 17 and 18 were built after the canal opened.
