Preston Road
Preston Road, Metropolitan Line, looking south with a train to Aldgate on the left, on 31st December 2022. This line was opened by the Metropolitan on 2nd August 1880, but there was no station here until Preston Road for Oxendon Halt was opened, on the opposite side of the road bridge in the background, on 21st May 1908. It was resited during 1931/32, the south side of the island coming into use on 22nd November 1931 and the north on 3rd January 1932. Presumably, between those two dates, southbound trains continued to serve the 1908 halt of which no trace remains.
