Ringley Road
Ringley Road, on the Clifton Junction to Radcliffe (and Accrington) line, closed in 1953 but Accrington to Manchester trains continued to travel this way until 1966 when the line closed. Most of the route is now the Outwood Way but, as can be seen, the surface is not as firm as many cycleways. This is the northbound platform, a notable feature of the trail, seventy years after the last passenger train departed.
