A miserable Friday morning in April 2013 looking north from the site of Tynehead station towards Fushiebridge along what was then the trackbed of the Waverley route. The link between the main road and Halflawkiln Farm can just be made out in the background through the rain and mist. The deep ruts and sawdust piles are leftovers from a recent pass through by the vegetation control squad as part of the preliminary preparations for the Borders Railway. This eventually became part of the double track section running north from Tynehead Junction (see image 83081).
