Wharfside [Tram]
Much of the new Trafford Centre tram line runs through industrial areas but from around Wharfside to the Imperial War Museum stop is along the Salford Dock waterfront, as seen here from behind the driver of a Metrolink tram approaching Wharfside in January 2023. Although a new route, alongside the dock the trams are running where Manchester Ship Canal locos once shunted freight trains alongside ships. The far side of the dock is the area known as Media City, also tram served from the Eccles line.
