Slateford Aqueduct

A canal boat about to cross Slateford Aqueduct in the western suburbs of Edinburgh on 4 October 2015. The 500 foot long structure carries the Union Canal over both Inglis Green Road and the Water of Leith. Just off picture to the right is the Caledonian Railway's Slateford Viaduct, which runs parallel to the canal at this point. For a view of both structures looking back from the far end of the canal towpath see image 4804.
