Auchterhouse [2nd]
This was the view towards Dundee from Auchterhouse station in 1996 showing the two platforms. The site of the signal box can be seen on the distant left (a niche in the embankment) and the goods yard was off to the right. The original route of the Dundee and Newtyle and the original Auchterhouse station were off to the left. This location has since been landscaped and built over, although a stone road bridge which crossed over the line west of the station remains. A footpath to Dronley along the trackbed passes through here.
